Music for Care Homes and Hospices

Corinne has extensive experience of bringing her inspiring solo music to care homes, dementia homes and hospices. She has a vast repertoire of music from which she has developed numerous themed programmes.

Music has a profound effect on people — to lift the spirit, feed the soul, touch the emotions and spark the imagination. This is particularly relevant to people with dementia and memory loss, as music has the power to rekindle people’s memories, helping them to reconnect with the part of themselves they have lost.

Over the years she has developed a talent for creative improvisation, having played for individuals in many settings, including care homes, hospices and GP practices. Corinne delights in playing improvised musical portraits which take inspiration from the person being played for. Corinne particularly enjoys going into residents’ rooms and playing their favourite music.
